I’m passionate about photography and I love photographing people. There is nothing quite like capturing the essence and character of someone on camera. I feel my style, approach and vision is unique, creating unique works of art that convey so much more depth and emotion than just a likeness. It’s always a priviledge to me to be commissoned to photograph an couple’s wedding day or a family’s portrait.
I’m a 37 year old photographer with a fine art background and over ten years experience. This informs my work through strong compositions, the play of light and ultimately creative photographic works of art. My preference is to use natural light as much as possible as the subtlety and range of tones adds to the drama of the day. Avoiding the use of flash also allows me to photograph people at their most relaxed and natural.
I’m based just outside Tavistock in Devon where I live with my wife and three lovely children. The Tamar Valley provides such superb quality of life. though I choose to live in Devon I cover weddings and portrait photography assigments throughout the UK and Europe.
